The organizing committee for the Democratic National Convention 2008 in Denver, Colorado has unveiled the logo for the upcoming prestigious event.
The convention logo design features a red and blue star which is bisected by an image of Colorado mountains acting as the white stripe, with the sun’s rays emanating from it. The words “Denver 2008” are typeset just besides the star symbol and reflects the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountain West that is home to the political event.
The logo was designed by art students Stuart Confer and Nathan Zehr belonging to Art Institute of Colorado and Colorado State University respectively. This logo will be applied on all communication materials and will assist in marketing efforts.
The Democratic National Convention, to be held in Denver from Aug. 25-28, 2008, is expected to draw about 35,000 people to Denver and pump an estimated $160 million into the city’s economy.
