Williamsport Crosscutters, the minor league baseball team based in Williamsport, have debuted their new team colors, logo and uniform design. The baseball team’s old mascot, Rusty Roughcut, reportedly “retired” last month to join the U.S. Axeman’s Association and begin training in lumberjack sports.
Critics of the old logo were of the opinion that the “Rolle Finger” moustache of Rusty made him either a close relative of Julius Pringles, mascot of Pringles crisps, or a case of severe lack of inspiration in its logo designers.
The new team logo features a brasher, more rugged, blonder and bearded emblem, carrying a baseball bat on one shoulder and a thick wooden log on the other.
